What a difference a season and some wire makes   Leave a comment

This tree is one of the first three from the five I cut back. Of all of them this is my favorite. I don’t know why , maybe its the classical Japanese styling, maybe it the compact short powerful and dynamic image it projects, but I do know that I can’t wait to get it into a show pot. I have many choices but I will wait until spring to see what I can get it into before I get my heart set on anything special.

The tree is just shy of 6 inches tall and the base at the soil line is just shy of 4 inches across. One of the three little pigs
